WSOP 2008 Battle for the Bracelets

Although the Main Event of the WSOP 2009 is already on, you can try to win the Main Event virtually with your Playstation 3. Although this game can not compete with an online poker room it is definitely worth a try.

In the WSOP 2008 you can play different poker tournaments that will lead to a ‘Main Event’. You will play against novice like you, but as you cycle through the game you eventually will play against pros like Johnny Chan, Mike Mutusow, Joe Hachem and Phill Hellmuth. Phill Hellmuth can even give you some training in-game. For optimal results.

The main goal of the Career mode is to earn as much money during different tournaments and cashgames. You can play WSOP tournaments, cash games and heads up against the pros. You can also choose modes like: Texas Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha and Hose.

The graphics aren’t very special. But that’s not what we are looking for in a game like this. It is all about the gameplay, the way you play poker! You can, however, create your own avatar, which is always a fun thing to do ;)

This game has a multiplayer mode which lets you play against your friends and it has some benefits comparing to a home game. If you don’t want to play for real money. Although this game isn’t very interesting for the more serious poker player, it can be nice to play just for fun once in a while. And remember you don’t have to play for real money all the time.
